can makeup go through TSA?

Makeup is allowed to be packed in carry-on and checked bags when traveling by air, however, there are certain restrictions and guidelines that you should be aware of.

According to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), liquids, gels, creams, and aerosols must be placed in containers that are 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) or less per item. These containers must then be placed in a clear, quart-sized bag and placed in a bin for X-ray screening. This applies to all liquids, including makeup, lotions, and shampoo.

Some exceptions to this rule are baby formula, breast milk, and medication that is needed during the flight. These items can be brought in a reasonable amount over 3.4 oz, but should be declared to TSA officer for inspection.

It's always a good idea to check TSA's website for the most current information regarding allowed and prohibited items, as regulations can change.

Additionally, some airlines may have more restrictive policies on liquids, so it's always best to check with the airline you are traveling with for specific guidelines.
